Hotel Du Vin Wedding Photographer
Amy & Lucy’s wedding rocked and I’m so glad they chose me as their Hotel Du Vin wedding photographer, it was one of those weddings with people laughing, celebrating and enjoying themselves no matter where I looked, and the atmosphere was brilliant. Oh and it was hot… VERY hot on the day meaning everyone made the most of the outside space and enjoyed the sunshine. It did rain later in the evening but by that point the party had started so it all worked out well on the weather front.
Last time I was asked to be a couple’s Hotel Du Vin wedding photographer the whole wedding was at the venue, however Amy & Lucy picked The Black Swan in Newcastle for their evening reception and they did a fantastic job of decking it out in bunting and other little features which really made it feel like a good old British summer party. There was even Ice Cream and a Hog Roast! However all that is only a minor part of the story here, and the couple themselves are what is important, and what a great couple they are. They are really perfectly matched and great fun to be around, right from the moment we met, through to the pre-wedding shoot and the big day itself we had a ball. I really enjoyed getting to know them and they are very photogenic too, mix that with their very relaxed and chilled nature and it meant for some great photos. I think the ceremony best summed up Amy and Lucy though, there were touching moments, a bit of emotion and some laughs thrown in for good measure.
I wish Amy & Lucy lots of happiness in their life together, they are a great couple and fantastic fun. I wish I could shoot their big day all over again!
