The Grand Hotel wedding photography
I’m becoming an experienced pro at shooting The Grand Hotel wedding photography thanks in part to being one of their recommended suppliers… so when Lisa and Simon chose me as their photographer I was delighted, and when I got to know them I was even more excited to be asked to capture their special day. They are such lovely people and really made me feel part of the day, they are also great fun and extremely easy to work with, which of course lead to some awesome photos!
Lisa had her bridal prep at home and they were married at a beautiful church called St Bartholomew’s in Forest Hall before we headed to Tynemouth for the reception and some fantastic The Grand Hotel wedding photography on the stairs later in the evening. However before I jump ahead I’ll start at the beginning where Lisa was in a really relaxed mood with her family around her and it really set the tone for what was a very intimate and lovely occasion, Champagne was flowing and the girls had their hair and makeup done by professionals who did a perfect job… the girls looks gorgeous! The ceremony took place at a really picturesque church, the vicar was lovely and carried out the service which had some really tender moments, singing and tears shed by a few of the guests.
From here we headed to the The Grand Hotel and the atmosphere continued in the same vein with everyone enjoying themselves, chatting away and celebrating the couple’s happy day. Of course no trip to this hotel is complete without taking the bride and groom down to the beach just across the road, and wow the sky was just so dramatic!
Later after some very funny speeches and the traditional desert smash (what a great idea!) where the couple receive identical deserts, a spoon and then set about smashing each others to pieces which was hilarious, we did a few more photos on the spectacular staircase, which is without doubt my favourite staircase at any wedding venue, again with Lisa & Simon helping me get those really special shots they’ll hopefully love for many years.
