Louise & Jeff | Chinese wedding in Newcastle
Shooting a Chinese wedding in Newcastle is something I’m lucky enough to have done on more than one occasion, and I’m pleased to say Louise and Jeff’s was right up there with THE very best of them. What an amazingly lovely, warm, kind and friendly couple, so welcoming and it’s no wonder they had a fantastic and somewhat intimate wedding at The Vermont Hotel in Newcastle. Louise looked incredible… her beautiful dress and Jimmy Choo shoes (amazing!) matched by her natural elegance, and Jeff looked really dapper in a black suit and pink tie.
The ceremony took place in the majestic looking Ballroom and I have to say that if you are having a Chinese wedding in Newcastle there aren’t many better places to have your ceremony, it’s quite spectacular with a huge hanging chandelier. It was a lovely ceremony with plenty of nervous laughter from the couple and once the vows were done we moved on to the drinks reception where there was a huge amount of hugging, congratulating and so much love shared. You could tell everyone at this wedding had a really close bond and it made for a brilliant atmosphere.
The day went by in a blur but one highlight was definitely going on to the roof of the venue and taking some pictures at sunset and also once everything was completely dark apart from the city lights behind. These guys were up for anything and we got some awesome portraits as a result. The first dance was just perfect and then the party started with some crazy dance moves being thrown. When it was time to go home I was really sad to be leaving.
