Nick’s partner Darren enquired about booking me as a surprise for his birthday and I was more than happy to do a shoot with a high ranking politician! This wasn’t a stuffy corporate or PR style shoot though and was very much a relaxed and easy going portrait session to get some nice images of Nick for personal use. I even managed to convince Darren to join in for a few pics of them together which hopefully will be a nice keepsake.
We met at Ryton Willows which is one of my favourite places to shoot, and having seen a previous shoot I’d carried out there recently Darren felt it was the perfect location for Nick’s to take place. It was a good choice and we managed to get a real ‘at home in the country’ style vibe to the images which really suited Nick’s look and personality.
