Ashleigh & Michael – Healey Barn wedding photography
Ashleigh and Michael booked me to shoot their Healey Barn wedding photography, but I never felt like a supplier, they welcomed me in to the most important day of their lives with such open arms that I felt like a guest… albeit with a pretty fancy camera and 6 years of experience of shooting weddings haha! I’m so incredibly fortunate as a wedding photographer to spend time with such amazing people on a weekly basis, Ashleigh and Michael were up there with the absolute best of the best, warm, inviting, kind, and great fun!
I love it when a couple are adventurous, and really place a lot of emphasis on their photos being awesome… here we not only ended up in the woods just down the road from Healey Barn with loads of smoke bombs, but also once it got dark they asked for a cool shot with sparklers. Now usually this involves doing a sparkler exit, but they weren’t keen on this idea, instead wanting something a bit ‘different’ with light painting. They left the rest to me to decide, so once the lights outside the venue came on I took them out and we did a cool long exposure with some light trails behind. So much fun and a huge thanks to Moon River Films for their help with the light painting, top work!
Oh and the party? Well these guys really know how to PARTY!!! A brilliant live DJ with sax and bongos, guests busting out the most epic of dance moves, wood fired pizzas and such a brilliant atmosphere. Ashleigh and Michael, thank you for asking me to shoot your Healey Barn wedding photography, but way more importantly, thank you for just being absolute superstars and making my day with you incredible fun!!!
