Shortflatt Tower wedding photographer
Laura and Ian asked me to be their Shortflatt Tower wedding photographer in March and I was really looking forward to the big day. I certainly wasn’t disappointed as it was possibly the most chilled, relaxed and stunningly beautiful wedding ever. I don’t really know where to start when describing their day as it was just incredible… the outdoor ceremony perhaps? The arch they stood under was decorated with origami cranes painstakingly created by Ian over many months (there were 250 I believe in total across the venue!). The laughter and joy of the ceremony itself was even more memorable though, a beautiful couple saying their vows in the lovely grounds of the venue, the love and emotion – it was breath taking.
As Laura & Ian’s Shortflatt Tower wedding photographer my coverage didn’t just mean shooting the ceremony though and there were a million other wonderful moments throughout the day, the best man’s speech being a real corker with huge laughs all round, the bridal prep being relaxed and intimate, the spectacular setting of Shortflatt Tower, Laura’s beautiful backless dress… I could go on for hours, believe me!
The sun came out after the wedding breakfast and treated us to amazing light for the bride and groom portraits and the evening reception was a real riot, epic dance moves being pulled and everyone in full party mode… it was great fun. The real reason this was such a great day though? Laura and Ian… friendly, funny, loving and kind. That’s what makes a truly memorable wedding, awesome people, and my god they certainly pulled off the most incredible day imaginable!
Huge congratulations Laura and Ian and thank you so much for inviting me in to your lives for the day with such open arms… I had an amazing time!
