Newcastle wedding photographer | Sara & Dan’s wedding @ Newton Hall
I met Sara & Dan when they looking for a wedding photographer for their big day at the fantastic Newton Hall (about an hour north of Newcastle)… I’m so glad they picked me!!! Their venue was the perfect setting for an emotional rollercoaster of a wedding, there were tears of joy, sadness and so much laughter. I even got close to a few tears at points during the speeches they were so moving, and of course I laughed – a lot, because these guys are awesome fun!!! As are their relatives and friends, this was really a house party with their nearest and dearest, everyone mingling, celebrating, and just having an amazing time… it was a wonderful atmosphere and a real pleasure to be a part of things.
When you travel a little north of Newcastle there are some amazing beaches – the type a wedding photographer dreams of, and just down the road from Newton Hall is a perfect stretch of unspoilt beach. Sara and Dan were happy for a little trip down later in the day and we were treated to some dramatic clouds that made for a spectacular backdrop for their portraits. I always aim to capture the closeness between a couple and sometimes it’s so clear to see how much they love each other, that bond is so apparent in Sara and Dan. I would say they are naturals in front of the camera but really I think a huge part of it is just how in tune they are with one another – a perfect match!
Another thing about Sara & Dan (and their guests) is how friendly and welcoming they were, I was treated so well by them and was invited in to their most intimate of days with open arms, I wasn’t a wedding photographer to them, just a friend with a camera, and I really feel that since the wedding they (and I) still view each other as that.
I wish we could do it all again, but at least the photos are always going to be a wonderful reminder of the most perfect day…
