Meeting up with the Dodd clan for their Durham Family Photography was something I was SUPER excited about for ages before we did the shoot… I had the privilege of photographing Fiona & Phil’s wedding at Doxford Barns back in 2017 (which was absolutely gorgeous!), when Lucas (now 6) was just 2 and Isla (almost 2) wasn’t yet a part of this amazing family. So to come back to their lovely home and photograph how their lives had changed since that awesome autumn wedding three years ago was such a great honour.
This Durham Family Photography shoot started at their home where Lucas and Isla showed me all their favourite toys and then did a spot of baking before we sat down to brownies and tea for a little break… the brownies were made by Fiona and DELICIOUS (thanks again for giving me some to take home!).
We then headed out for a little walk near a river not far from their home, where lots of autumn leaves were collected, huge rocks thrown in the water to create amazing splashes, and lots of fun exploring was done… oh and the best tree swing around for miles was very much a highlight of the walk!
