Wedding in Newcastle | Chloe & Josh’s wedding.
Chloe and Josh had THE coolest wedding in Newcastle in the whole of 2017, 1930’s influenced decor, guests in tuxedos and gowns, Hendricks Gin bottles everywhere, they basically turned As You Like It in to old skool Hollywood and it was amazing!!! This was one visually appealing wedding, but it had real substance to it too. By that I mean whilst it looked amazing it actually WAS an amazing wedding, with cool people having a real shindig in a very pretty setting. The twinkly fairy lights of As You Like it creating a beautiful backdrop for a great party vibe, lots of laughter, fun and romance, which sums up Chloe and Josh perfectly. They are great fun, really welcoming and friendly, and definitely romantics at heart… they are also super cool people – you don’t pull off a wedding like this unless you are!!!
I was given the brief of creating something ‘cinematic’ with their portraits, the ceremony was at 4pm in November and so it was dark by the time we got outside, as they knew I love shooting at night they booked me in the hope of creating some real magic, they gave me free reign to come up with ideas and I think we really achieved it, and then some! It was a little chilly as you’d expect but they completely owned it, not concerned at all with the cold, they just wanted awesome photos… my ideal client!!!
The speeches were hilarious, I mean super funny… then came the first dance mixing romance and hard rock, gentle swaying followed by rocking out and Josh picking up Chloe and spinning her around, it was so good! Then before I headed home we grabbed one cool final photo outside in the urban setting using an LED light strip and a long exposure to create colourful light trails.
Chloe and Josh, I knew your wedding in Newcastle would be cool, quirky and full of personality, it most certainly didn’t disappoint and absolutely exceeded my already high expectations, what a wedding! You guys are awesome, thanks so much for inviting me along to capture your epic big day!!!
